The CABEC Energy Code Specialist (ECS) Academy is a free, 11-month mentorship program for plans examiners, building inspectors, and qualified third-party plan reviewers who work with California’s Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6). Residential and nonresidential cohorts begin in January or June, take about 10 hours per month entirely online, and include a free ECS exam and one-year CABEC membership. ICC CEUs are available for most trainings.
